Tuition

Day Camper $836

**A nominal registration fee applies to online registration.**

*PLEASE NOTE before registering: 

  • All campers have a FREE PERIOD after lunch and after dinner.  There are no scheduled activities during this time.  Restrooms are in the cafeteria lobby of Granville West Tower. Lounge areas on each floor are open to day campers.   
  • We use many gymnasiums on and off campus.  Campers are bused to their appropriate gyms for the morning and night sessions of camp.  The afternoon session is held at the Smith Center.
  • Day Campers will receive drop-off/pick-up times the week of camp.  Each group has a different pick-up/drop-off time.  Groups are not assigned until the week before camp.

DAY CAMPER SCHEDULE

Our DAY CAMPER schedule is the same as a boarding camper minus the overnight stay.  For example, a nine-year-old’s day would start at 8:05 AM and end at 8:25 PM.

REGISTRATION

Camp will fill on a first-come, first-served basis. No paper applications available. Campers may only attend one session. Payment is due via credit card upon completing the online registration.

TIMES

  • Camper registration is 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the first day of camp in the Dean E. Smith Center.
  • Day Campers are encouraged to register between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM.
  • Camp ends no later than 12:45 PM on the last day of camp.
  • Camper and parents will receive exact ending times on the first day of camp.
Campers are not required to wear these during camp. T-Shirts are available in adult sizes only.

AIRPORT TRAVEL SERVICE

The camp does not provide shuttle service from or to the airport.  We do recommend a private shuttle service for campers flying to RDU. Reservations should be made at least a week in advance to Carolina Livery (919-957-1111).

CAMP BANK

The camp DOES NOT offer a camp bank. Campers may bring extra spending money, but the camp is not responsible for lost or stolen money.

CANCELLATION POLICY

Refunds less a $100 administrative fee will be made for cancellations up to a month in advance. There will be no refund for cancellations less than a month to the start of camp unless due to injury. If injured, the campers must present a doctor's note to receive the refund less the $100 administrative fee.

DINNER 

Day campers receive lunch and dinner. Boarding campers receive three meals a day. The first camp meal is dinner on the first day of camp. On the last day of camp, breakfast is the only meal served. Pizzas are sold in the basement lobby of Granville South at night for $15 (CASH ONLY). The camp canteen is also in the basement lobby of Granville South (CASH ONLY). Questions about special diets or food allergies can be addressed to Granville Towers Cafeteria Managers at 919-370-4500. The Agora Cafeteria can accommodate most dietary needs.

SCHOLARSHIPS

Due to NCAA Compliance Rules and Regulations, we are unable to offer scholarships to campers. However, North Carolina’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives sponsor 27 deserving young men from North Carolina. Information and the application can be found HERE. Applicants must be rising 6th and 7th graders. The electric cooperatives judge applicants on their academics, extra-curricular activities and an essay that must accompany the application.

TEAMS

Campers are placed on teams according to age and grade level. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE AGE AT CAMP AND GRADE LEVEL FOR UPCOMING YEAR ARE CORRECT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS. Each team will have eight to ten campers. In some cases, players are traded among teams to help balance the competition. Also, if a campers plays above the level of his age group, he may be moved to an older group. CAMP COACHES, NOT PARENTS, WILL MAKE THIS DECISION.

VISITORS

Parents and friends are welcome to watch daily activity of campers. Maps to the gym locations are available at registration and the camp office.

WI-FI ACCESS

Granville Towers does have guest WIFI access to outside parties.

 

*UNC Athletic Department Staff, Camp Coaches including lettermen are eligible for a camp discount.

Carolina Basketball School is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender)
