2021 SUMMER CAMP INFORMATION

Registration NOW OPEN

Due to the uncertainty created by the COVID-19 virus we have established a method to reserve a spot in camp without upfront financial commitment. Simply register and pay a $0 deposit.  REGISTRATION WILL OPEN JANUARY 4TH AT 8AM EASTERN.  When camp is confirmed to take place, you will receive an email giving you the ability to pay camp dues. If at the time you still wish to attend camp, you can pay securely online. If your circumstances change and you no longer wish to attend camp, simply let us know. You won’t owe us anything. The $0 Deposit will be open until spots fill in camp, or March 1st (whichever comes first).  An update on 2021 camp will be delivered on or before March 1st.

REGISTRATION
Camp will fill on a first-come, first-served basis. No paper applications available. Campers may only attend one session. Payment is due via credit card upon completing the online registration.
 
 
 
 
 
TIMES
Boarding Camper registration is 2:00 PM to 5:00 PM on the first day of camp in the Dean E. Smith Center. Day Campers are encouraged to register between 4:00 PM and 5:00 PM. Camp ends no later than 12:45 PM on the last day of camp. Camper and parents will receive exact ending times on the first day of camp.
 
 
 
 
 
RECOMMENDED ITEMS TO BRING TO CAMP
T-shirts (at least 5 day supply), Shorts (at least 5 day supply), Socks (at least 5 day supply), Underwear (at least 5 day supply),  Basketball Shoes, Pillow, Sheets - extra-long twin-bed size, Mattress Cover (optional), Blanket, Towels, Alarm Clock, Toiletry Items (toothbrush, toothpaste, hand soap, shower soap, shampoo, deodorant, etc ...) *Please note: Granville Towers no longer has a swimming pool on the premises; therefore, swimming is not an option during the free time.
 
 
 
 
 
CAMPERS WILL RECEIVE TWO T-SHIRTS & ONE PAIR OF SHORTS AT REGISTRATION
Campers are not required to wear these during camp. T-Shirts/Shorts are available in adult sizes only.

AIRPORT TRAVEL SERVICE
The camp does not provide shuttle service from or to the airport.  We do recommend a private shuttle service for campers flying to RDU. Reservations should be made at least a week in advance to LTD Transportation (800-432-8008).
 
 
 
 
 
CAMP BANK
The camp DOES NOT offer a camp bank. Campers may bring extra spending money, but the camp is not responsible for lost or stolen money.
 
 
 
 
 
CANCELLATION POLICY
Refunds less a $100 administrative fee will be made for cancellations up to a month in advance. There will be no refund for cancellations less than a month to the start of camp unless due to injury. If injured, the campers must present a doctor's note to receive the refund less the $100 administrative fee.
 
 
 
 
 
FOOD
Day campers receive lunch and dinner. Boarding campers receive three meals a day. The first camp meal is dinner on the first day of camp. On the last day of camp, breakfast is the only meal served. Pizzas are sold in the basement lobby of Granville South at night for $12 (CASH ONLY). The camp canteen is also in the basement lobby of Granville South (CASH ONLY). Questions about special diets or food allergies can be addressed to Granville Towers Cafeteria Managers at 919-370-4500. The Agora Cafeteria is able to accommodate most dietary needs.
 
 
 
 
 
KEYS
There is no dorm key deposit at registration. Campers are responsible for reimbursement of any lost key, either during the week or at check-out. Each lost key is $30. This must be paid before receiving a replacement key. Campers may either pay the camp office cash or charge to the credit card used during registration.
 
 
 
 
 
PHOTOS
Each camper will have his photo taken with Coach Davis during the camp session. Photographer information and how to obtain the camper photo will be provided at a later date.
 
 
 
 
 
ROOMMATES
We will try to honor all roommate/suitemate requests received three weeks prior to camp. If you would like to add/change a request, parents must update this information by logging into their online account. In order for us to guarantee your request, please make sure the requested roommate has also requested your son!
 
 
 
 
 
SCHOLARSHIPS
Due to NCAA Compliance Rules and Regulations, we are unable to offer scholarships to campers. However, North Carolina’s Touchstone Energy Cooperatives sponsor 27 deserving young men from North Carolina. Information and the application can be found HERE. Applicants must be rising 6th and 7th graders. The electric cooperatives judge applicants on their academics, extra-curricular activities and an essay that must accompany the application.
 
 
 
 
 
TEAMS
Campers are placed on teams according to age and grade level. PLEASE MAKE SURE THE AGE AT CAMP AND GRADE LEVEL FOR UPCOMING YEAR ARE CORRECT DURING THE REGISTRATION PROCESS. Each team will have eight to ten campers. In some cases, players are traded among teams to help balance the competition. Also, if a campers plays above the level of his age group, he may be moved to an older group. CAMP COACHES, NOT PARENTS, WILL MAKE THIS DECISION.
 
 
 
 
 
VISITORS
Parents and friends are welcome to watch daily activity of campers. Maps to the gym locations are available at registration and the camp office.
 
 
 
 
 
WI-FI ACCESS
Granville Towers does have guest WIFI access to outside parties.
 
 
 
 
 
*UNC Athletic Department Staff, Camp Coaches including lettermen are eligible for a camp discount.
 
  Carolina Basketball School is open to any and all entrants (limited only by number, age, grade level and/or gender)
